Sexual Harassment in the Workplace: New Duty for Employers
From 26th October 2024, a new law called the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 will change the Equality Act 2010 in two important ways:
Preventing Sexual Harassment: Employers will now have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to stop sexual harassment at work. This means they must actively work to prevent it, rather than just dealing with it after it happens.
Increased Compensation: If an employer fails to meet this new duty, employment tribunals can increase the compensation for sexual harassment victims by up to 25%.
This new law shifts the focus from just addressing sexual harassment after it occurs to actively preventing it, ensuring a safer workplace for everyone.
CQC Single Assessment Framework
On the 13th of May, the CQC started inspecting practices under the new Single Assessment Framework. But what does this mean for you and your practice? Members have been asking us whether there are any new evidence requirements and what will change over the next few years.
Alex O’Neill, Agilio’s Director of Regulatory and Professional Services, and one of the UK’s leading dental compliance experts, will address these questions and more during this webinar. Topics included will be:

-What changes we predict for CQC Assessment in 2025 and beyond

- What is a satisfactory fixed wire report?

Secrets to Successful Auditing
What audits do we need to do? We often see this question on practice manager forums and the majority of answers are usually incorrect. Many practices ask the wrong team members to perform audits, misunderstand the difference between an audit and a log and aren’t sure how perform an audit or what you’re supposed to do afterwards. In this insightful webinar, Alex O’Neill, our Director of Regulatory and Professional Services, will explore essential terms and outline the key steps to auditing properly, highlighting who should perform audits, where and why practices have failed and what you need to do to both meet the requirements and create a paper trail that will impress inspectors.
Infection Control Essentials with Aura Infection Control
Decontamination is a complex multistage process that requires quality control and leadership to be completed successfully. It is often misunderstood and regular training on the key elements is important to make sure that you are competent and prepared for any inspection.
Join Laura Edgar from Aura Infection Control (one of Agilio’s preferred working partners), who will be highlighting the important elements of decontamination and explaining the process from transportation to storage, and how these areas can be effectively managed, including:
– The reasons for decontamination
– The standard precautions– decontamination of equipment
– The key elements of decontamination room configuration
– The stages of the decontamination cycle & key elements of each stage
Perfect for Practice owners, managers, decontamination leads, or any other team member responsible for decontamination, this webinar aims to increase your knowledge and help you understand the principles for carrying out decontamination or overseeing it.
Risk Assessments in a Dental Practice
When a practice fails a CQC inspection, risk assessments likely played a part. These complex tasks are sometimes delegated to team members with little training, and a question we are regularly asked on the iComply helpline is, ‘How do I carry out a risk assessment?’ Well, the answer isn’t as simple as you’d think, so join Rhys Jones, Agilio’s Head of Compliance to find out why, as this webinar will be exploring the subject of risk assessing in detail.
