Iatro have been chosen to supply an intranet for primary care organisations across North East London (NEL) as part of the NEL Digital First programme, which is supporting projects to transform primary care through the implementation, understanding and improvement of digital tools within general practice.
Previously, North East London ICB were using a variety of intranets to manage and communicate administrative information, and there was information disparity across and within boroughs in the region.
Osman Bhatti, CCIO for NEL ICB, says “The NEL team required a region-wide solution with publishing and filtering tools to enable effective communication. After a thorough market engagement exercise, we chose Iatro as they had a mature, feature rich solution and a strong focus on customer service. We’ve been really happy with their support & advice whilst we plan rollout of the solution.”
The new intranet is aimed at all clinical and non-clinical roles within Primary Care across NEL, including multi-disciplinary roles within Primary Care Networks, and will provide easy read/write access for a range of content.
Key features will include publishing and workflow tools for new content; permission level access and filtered distribution lists; integration with other software used across NEL; and comprehensive analytics.
Thomas Porteus, Founder of Iatro, says “Strong collaboration tools at regional level is really important for ensuring primary care works well within regions, and we’ve got experience in delivering software to help organisations share content and intelligence effectively. We’re delighted to work with North East London on this ambitious project to connect information between over 280 practices in the region”.
