Laboratory Scope of Testing

For endoscope washer disinfectors, endoscope storage/drying cabinets and instrument washer disinfectors, we provide all tests required periodically by HTM, WHTM, NI/HTM, SHTM and EN. 

* It is critical that the time between sample taken, and sample testing is not greater than 24 hours. 

For sterilisers and clean steam, we provide all tests required periodically by HTM, WHTM, NI/HTM, SHTM and EN. 

We provide surrogate devices specific to your endoscope washer disinfectors and storage cabinets, compliant with the latest standards and manufacturer recommendations. 

Surrogates are available for contamination with test soil on-site to validate cleaning efficacy, or inoculated with organisms such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans or Mycobacterium terrae to validate disinfection efficacy. We can also supply your surrogate device with a choice of standard inner diameters and specific manufacturer channel connections. 

Our automated process for determining the residual bacterial levels on returned processed surrogates ensures that the results of this critical requirement are provided quickly and accurately. 

Sterility testing on medical devices to prove or check the effectiveness of the sterilisation process.  

Bioburden testing on reusable surgical instruments to prove or check the decontamination process effectiveness.  

As well as offering the service to hospital Sterile Services and Decontamination departments, we also partner medical device and machine manufacturers to assist in routine testing. 

Our test soil is mixed to order, to the exact specifications of EN15883 Part 5, shipped out tracked and refrigerated, to meet your engineer on site. 

GP and Dental practices must check and record control measures for domestic water systems. Care Homes can often be high-risk environments in relation to Legionella. Hospitals also test for other opportunistic pathogens such as Pseudomonas. 

We offer sampling and testing of water systems for both Primary and Secondary healthcare, from small batches of samples to several hundred across entire NHS Trust sites. 

Our exclusive Orange Box System helps to keep any water samples between the required 2°C and 5°C during transportation for up to five days.
