ADG & Agilio announce 2026 mentor and mentee matches

2026 is the inaugural year of the ADG’s new mentoring scheme which aims to support micro-groups who are keen to grow, with by giving them access to informal business advice.

As the trade body for the UK’s ‘mixed economy’, covering NHS, Private and Community-based dentistry, the Association is keen to support the next generation of dental practice groups since nurturing these smaller groups will help ensure the dental industry is on the right path to thrive.

The partnership is giving six Micro-Groups a 12-month mentoring programme, with access to a leader within each larger group as a mentor. Each mentor will give the mentee an initial face-to-face meeting, with a planned number of follow-up virtual sessions scheduled.

Neil Carmichael, Executive Chair, Association of Dental Groups, said: “The purpose of this informal mentoring programme is to support the future of dentistry.  Giving Micro-Groups access to business advice from one of our fantastic mentors – our ‘Titans’ of the business of dentistry – has been warmly received by existing and new members. We are grateful to Agilio for their valuable support, and we look forward to hearing progress updates from our mentors and mentees over the next 12 months.”

Andy Sloan, Managing Director, Dental Agilio Software, said: “These are strong mentor and mentee matches.  Agilio is delighted to see talented Micro-Groups taking up this opportunity to learn through this informal business mentoring programme from successful larger dental groups.
