England: Omicron Variant of COVID-19 Self-Isolation Update

The UKHSA has updated the self-isolation requirements for those who have been in contact with someone who has been identified as a suspected or confirmed case of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Further information can be found on GOV.UK’s guidance for households with a possible or confirmed COVID-19 infection and guidance for contacts of people with confirmed COVID-19 infection who do not live with the person.

Team members who have had contact with someone (within or outside their household) who has been identified as a suspected or confirmed case of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 will need to self-isolate for 10 days regardless of their vaccination status, if they are under the age of 18, or have had a negative PCR test. They may stop self-isolating before the 10 full days if they have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace and advised to do so.
