The Coronavirus Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) Rebate Scheme is due to end on the 30th September 2021, alongside the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Dental providers with fewer than 250 employees across their PAYE payroll schemes on 28th February 2020, will be able to continue to reclaim SSP paid to employees for COVID-19 related absence on or before 30th September 2021.

A claim for a maximum of 2 weeks SSP per employee can be made, subject to the employee meeting the SSP qualifying criteria. More than one claim per employee can be submitted, however, no more than 2 weeks in total can be claimed for.
