Job purpose:
As a Tester your primary focus is assessing software quality through
exploratory and automated testing. You will ensure that our applications
and services work correctly.
You will be responsible for:
• Review, analyse and participate in the requirements specification
process.
• Identify and produce effective test plans and test cases.
• Execute test plans, analyse, identify themes, and clearly
communicate results to the relevant stakeholders.
• Work with Product team to verify and validate the product against
specification.
• Report bugs and errors using a systematic, clear, reproducible,
and consistent approach.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post-implementation and post-release testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the
software development lifecycle.
• Identify and keep abreast of developments in QA testing.
• Share your discoveries and knowledge with the wider engineering
team.
• Collaborate with team members during the software development
lifecycle.
• Identify your training and development needs and undertake
appropriate training as required and agreed with your line manager.
The skills and experience which we are looking for in our Testers
are:
Essential
• Attention to detail – Ability to identify large and small
inconsistencies.
• Ability to think outside of the box by thinking of different user
journeys and edge cases that could cause unexpected behaviours.
• Ability to create and manage test plans.
• Ability to create, manage and track defects.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
• Testing across various environments, including web and mobile.
• Awareness of testing types e.g. functional, regression, usability,
acceptance, integration
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organised with a high level of self-motivation
Desirable
• Formal Testing qualifications e.g. ISTQB
• Experience with test automation.
• Experience working in a Healthcare, HR or E-Learning technology
provider.
• Experience working in a SaaS business.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps
Additional Information
This is a full-time role, home based with some occasional travel
required to our offices.
Job type: Full-time, permanent, some out of hour’s work may be
required from time to time.
