Sustainability at Agilio

At Agilio Software we are passionate about serving our people, our communities and our environment. We will grow our business sustainably, minimising our environmental impact wherever possible. That is why we work closely with independent sustainability specialists – Sustainable Advantage – to help drive our environmental responsibilities and commitments.

Building blocks of sustainability

Protecting the planet

Implementing a sustainable future in software is central to Agilio’s vision:

  • We are calculating our Scope 1 and 2 emissions to determine our carbon footprint and to strategize steps to reduce it.
  • We are identifying where we can reduce waste, collating data to optimise solutions.
  • We are conducting a stakeholder travel survey in 2023 to further determine our Scope 3 CO2 emissions.
  • We have appointed Green Champions who work across the company to raise awareness for sustainability initiatives.
  • We have launched our Sustainability Awareness Hub, an interactive space for our colleagues to engage with our latest energy and waste reporting data.

Carbon neutral

We are very proud to have achieved carbon neutral certification, having offset 201 tonnes of C02 emissions for the period 1st April 2022 to 31 March 2023.

Putting people first

Creating and nurturing an inclusive, collaborative and progressive culture is essential for strengthening our colleagues’ health and well-being.

  • In May 2022, we formed the Culture Club which has a charity and community engagement focus. Working with our colleagues, it has selected two charities to support: Alzheimer’s Society, United Against Dementia and SHOUT, a mental health charity.
  • We have elected a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) representative who is working with senior management to craft Agilio’s DE&I policy and strategy.
  • We have appointed Wellbeing Champions to increase dialogue around mental health, with colleagues able to receive Mental Health First Aid training.
  • We understand the importance of pay parity and have collected the required data for pay gap reporting.
  • In June 2023, our team embarked on the 3 Peaks Challenge and we raised a staggering £24,648 for Shout Mental Health Support Line. This money will help train many volunteers to take life-saving conversations with people needing immediate support.

Corporate governance

Transparent policies, strategies and processes are crucial to Agilio and we have a comprehensive list of policies, providing our employees with interactive training software to ensure that policy compliance is maintained across our business.

We have robust systems in place to mitigate and manage business risks and one of our significant priorities is ensuring the health and safety of our employees.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The 17 SDGs are integrated—they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.

To help in the global commitment of prioritising progress and change for those who are furthest behind, Agilio has adopted four of the Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Gender Equality
  • Decent Work & Economic Growth
  • Climate Action
  • Agilio ESG wheel plus Assessed 2023
