Rick Medlock
Chairman
Rick Medlock is an accomplished Non-Executive Director and strategic advisor with a standout track record across public markets and private equity-backed technology and business services. He currently chairs Agilio Software and the STJ Advisors Advisory Board, and advises SilverTree Equity.
A former CFO of Worldpay, Misys, Inmarsat and NDS, Rick brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience. He has led four IPOs, including Worldpay’s 2015 LSE listing, and been involved in numerous exits and acquisitions. Rick combines sharp financial acumen, operational leadership and board-level insight to drive high-growth, transformational businesses forward.
Dr. Ben Betts
Chief Executive Officer
Ben joined Agilio Software as CEO in April 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience in scaling high-growth technology businesses. Prior to joining Agilio, Ben was CEO of digital learning provider Learning Pool, where he led the business through a period of rapid international expansion, growing the team to over 450 employees and establishing a strong presence across multiple markets.
With a background in learning technologies and a track record of strategic leadership, Ben has extensive expertise in driving innovation, executing successful M&A activity, and building high-performing teams. As CEO, he is focused on accelerating Agilio’s growth, enhancing its integrated product suite, and continuing to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Tom Cornwell
Chief Finance Officer
Tom is an experienced finance leader with a demonstrated history of leading finance in the software sector. Tom has an extensive background in both commercial finance and financial operations, M&A execution and financing. Tom previously spent over a decade at the Access Group, making a significant contribution to the growth of that business and the scaling of the finance function to support this. Tom is passionate about building engaged and successful finance teams.
Steve Law
Chief Technology Officer
Steve joined Agilio as Chief Technology Officer in June 2021. Steve brings over 30 years of experience building and managing world class product and engineering teams within the SaaS space. Before Agilio, Steve spent 3 years as CTO of Giacom where he transformed their Product, Engineering and Infrastructure teams building several new own IP products and supporting the business growth from £13m to £60m in revenue. Prior to Giacom, Steve spent 10 years with Capita in several Director roles leading 500+ person engineering and product teams in several of their SaaS businesses. He has a strong entrepreneurial streak starting his first tech business at 17 and has held numerous CxO roles including COO of a public company.
Julian McClung
Chief Product Officer
Julian joined Agilio in 2024 as Chief Product Officer, leading our mission to enhance the company’s product ecosystem by delivering seamless, integrated software solutions while supporting our expansion in the UK and beyond. With over 15 years of experience in product management and digital transformation, he has a proven track record of optimising product portfolios and driving innovation to better serve customers. Passionate about building strong product teams and embedding product as a discipline, he champions a customer-centric approach to create value-driven solutions. Previously, as Chief Product Officer at Tes, an EdTech SaaS company, he played a key role in delivering impactful digital solutions for primary and secondary education.
Karen Penfold
Chief Human Resources Officer
Karen was appointed CHRO in Aug 2021 having previously led the CODE business that was the first platform for Agilio. She has a wealth of experience with over 18 years spent in HR and operations. Karen was the HR Director in two previous businesses and has successfully operated across charity, government and social enterprise. Karen was also instrumental in the development of both the iComply and iTeam software solutions and continues to bring her extensive HR knowledge to the ongoing progression of iTeam and HR initiatives across the Agilio business.
Bruce Fair
Chief Revenue Officer
Bruce is an experienced Chief Revenue Officer specialising in scaling SaaS businesses, driving revenue growth, executing strategic GTM plans, and optimising pricing and customer segmentation. Bruce has a successful track record of building scalable processes, leading high-performance sales teams, and driving private equity and VC-backed growth initiatives, including integrating teams via M&A. Bruce brings a broad sales playbook to Agilio that will significantly improve sales performance, pipeline conversion, and deal metrics.
Bruce’s industry experience covers multiple business models, including SaaS, e-commerce, arbitrage, and marketplace models within Sales and Product-led environments. Bruce creates long-term value and leads teams to exceed ambitious growth targets in high-growth environments.
Mike Beech
Chief Marketing Officer
Mike is a seasoned Marketing and Product Specialist with a proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and ROI across IT, tech, and SaaS sectors. Mike has led marketing teams at leading tech companies, including causaLens, Dext, Tribal and Kerridge.
With a unique blend of deep technical expertise, strategic marketing insight, and financial acumen, Mike is known for delivering impactful multi-channel campaigns and guiding high-level decision-making. He excels at leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaborative environments, and translating innovative visions into market-leading product offerings.

Mike Osborn
Chief Customer Officer
Mike is a customer-centric executive with a wealth of experience in driving operational and commercial excellence. As Chief Customer Officer, his focus is on delivering measurable outcomes for customers and investors through scalable, customer-centric strategies while fostering long-lasting relationships.
Mike is passionate about developing strategies that enhance customer success, promote adoption, and ensure retention. Mike focuses on creating value through a deep understanding of client objectives, tailoring solutions that meet their unique challenges. His commitment to value creation and corporate development positions him as a leader who champions customer interests at every step of the journey.
Emma Barnes
Chief of Staff
Emma Barnes joined Agilio Software in 2024, bringing over two decades of experience across various sectors, including dentistry and veterinary care. As former CEO of Riverdale Healthcare, Emma oversaw 59 dental practices across the UK.
Prior to this, Emma spent four years as Chief Operating Officer at Linnaeus, expanding the veterinary group to 165 practices and 3000 staff. Emma is focusing on innovation and growth to drive Agilio Software’s continued success and expansion.
James Stephenson
Managing Director (Primary Care & Pharmacy)
James was appointed Managing Director of Agilio in May 2025, following over 14 years with the business. During his time at Agilio, he has held a variety of customer-facing roles, gaining a deep understanding of the healthcare sector and the complex challenges our clients face.
Known for his passion for innovation and problem-solving, James has played a key role in developing and scaling several of Agilio’s flagship solutions, guiding them from concept through to market leadership. His experience has shaped a pragmatic, customer-first approach that continues to drive the company’s strategic direction.
As Managing Director, James remains focused on delivering innovative, scalable solutions that reduce the administrative burden on healthcare professionals, enabling them to focus on what matters most – patient care.
