NHS staff in England to receive 3% pay rise

The UK Government has confirmed that NHS staff including NHS dentists in England will receive a 3% pay rise backdated to April 2021 after the government accepted the recommendations of the independent NHS Pay Review Body (NHSPRB) and the Review Body for Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration (DDRB). Announcements are expected within the next few days on the devolved governments’ approaches in other regions of the UK.

It is expected that the uplift will be added to GDPs contract values and that practices will be required to pass on this uplift to their associates through their contractual agreements. Agilio will update members as more details about the arrangements for these payments and how backdated payments will be made is announced.
